About Micro Man in Charlestown, IN
35 years since our owner started in remodeling, 10 years renting dumpsters, and every call still comes to him.
01Our story
From remodeling to dumpsters and junk removal
Our owner started in remodeling 35 years ago. Ten years ago he started renting dumpsters, and that grew into excavation and demolition. He realized one company can’t do it all and be efficient, so we have mostly cut out the excavation part. Today Micro Man Junk Removal & Dumpsters does three things from Charlestown: roll-off dumpsters, junk removal and small teardowns.
Micro Man is a one-man operation, and we keep it small on purpose. We don’t overextend ourselves, so we stay available to the local customers who need us fast, within about 30 miles of Charlestown. If we know someone else can do a better job, we will refer that work away, because we only want the jobs we are best suited to complete.
I’m reliable, I’m efficient, and above all I’m honest. If I know someone else can do a better job I will refer that work away.
Jamie, owner of Micro Man
Twenty roll-offs and one crane truck
We run 20 roll-off dumpsters, 15 and 20 yard, and all 20 are being repainted the same orange with a black stripe, with new signs on the way. Our owner built our roll-off truck himself and put a crane on it, so a hot tub goes up and into the dumpster without bringing out an excavator, and full Bagsters are next. Its single-item limit is 4,000 lbs.
A small Charlestown business, run by the owner
The goal is to support a family and still have time for them, and to build something the family can carry on and the community can trust. We do not plan to grow much, because we want to keep the reliability at all cost. We don’t want to be just another waste management company that only cares about the bottom dollar.
That is why every call comes to the owner. He likes to talk to everyone personally, so he knows whether we are the right fit or can point you in the right direction. Text works best for the details, because it keeps everyone accountable. Kevin Pennington called around before he called us: When contacting others I got the sense I was a bother for calling and asking questions. Jamie on the other hand appreciated the opportunity and made my decision of who to work with easy!
