01What we do

Mobile home teardown and haul off

We do a lot of mobile homes. Micro Man tears them down within about 30 miles of Charlestown, Indiana: a mini excavator takes the home apart, the debris goes into one of our roll-offs or the trailer, and the lot is left clean.

Steve Gardner had us take down a double wide and wrote: “He showed up when he said he would and did an outstanding job.” One phone number covers the teardown and the haul off, and debris never sits on the lot waiting for a second company.

What is on the lot

Tell us what else sits on the lot: a porch, a deck, a shed or a carport. We take down decks, sheds and garages too, so it can all come down and go out in one job instead of two.

Send photos of the home from each side and of the way in from the road. The photos show us how close the trailer and the roll-off truck can get, and whether a fence, a power line or a tree is in the way.

Before the teardown: title, taxes and permits

If the home is titled, ask your county treasurer about property tax before the teardown. Under Indiana law, the county treasurer issues the permit to move a mobile home or transfer its title only after the taxes due on it are paid.

Your town or county building office may want a demolition permit; each town page names the office. For the state, IDEM says noncommercial residential buildings with four or fewer dwelling units are exempt from its asbestos rules, but owners still have to follow waste disposal rules and local ordinances. IDEM’s pages do not name mobile homes, so check its exemptions page or call IDEM before we start.

Needed a 46x24x15 barn demo and removed. Came out and less than 36 hours later (only delayed because landfill closed at 4pm) nothing left but a foundation.

Do you tear down double wides?

Yes. We do a lot of mobile homes, double wides included.

Steve Gardner had us take down a double wide and wrote: “He showed up when he said he would and did an outstanding job.”

What should I check before a mobile home is torn down?

Ask your county treasurer about any property tax owed on the home, and ask your town or county building office about a demolition permit.

In Indiana, the county treasurer issues the permit to move a mobile home or transfer its title, only after the taxes due are paid.

Where does the debris go?

Into our own roll-off or the trailer, and off to the landfill. One phone number covers the teardown and the haul off.

Jenny Cox wrote: “the area was left in good condition.”

How much does mobile home demolition cost?

Each teardown is quoted by phone or text before we start, and photos help, because the size of the home, what is around it and access change the job. Text photos and the address to (812) 207-7155.

Photos from each side and of the way in from the road are the most help.
